A tough one!
This was the most difficult air/home dried bouquet I’ve ever worked with. Initially when I saw photos, I told my client they looked like they were in pretty decent shape. Booooyyyyy, was I wrong. Every single time I touched something, it turned to dust. There was mold on nearly every bloom and some flowers I couldn’t even distinguish had it not been for the client sending photos of it when it was alive. This was such a huge practice in patience for me because I had to move incredibly slowly not only placing the flowers, but pouring resin. I had to do it in thinner layers than normal because the weight of the resin was literally causing the flowers to disintegrate. It let off a lot of bubbles, but I really couldn’t do much to prevent it because I was so afraid to move anything. A lot of the positioning is hiding mold I couldn’t remove and tears and folds that weren’t fixable. I am incredibly proud of this piece because IT WAS INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT. So, if you ever wondered if your old crunchy flowers could be preserved, here’s your answer. Get them to me before they turn into dust!
